Dr. Leslie Jordan, a South Carolina native, was born and raised in Columbia. She attended the University of South Carolina where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Jordan’s interest in dentistry was sparked by her father who was a general dentist. She attended the Medical University of South Carolina, James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine. After graduating from MUSC, Dr. Jordan completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia where she served as chief resident. During her training in Columbia, she was able to expand her knowledge of general dentistry, so she has a well-rounded perspective of restorative treatment. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for periodontics. She decided to return to Charleston for her periodontics training at MUSC and has remained here ever since. In residency, she became well versed in the most up to date treatment of periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, implant placement, and IV sedation. During her time in residency, Dr. Jordan was selected as a Orban Research Competition finalist and presented her research at the national American Academy of Periodontology meeting in 2021.
After residency, Dr. Jordan was thrilled to be able to join Sparacino Periodontics. She also served as faculty at MUSC. Dr. Jordan has earned her Diplomate status and is recognized as a board-certified periodontist by the American Board of Periodontology. When she is not working, Dr. Jordan enjoys spending time at the beach, trying new restaurants, cheering on the Gamecocks, and hanging out with her adorable puppy, Banksy.
