Dr. Michael Cuenin joined Sparacino Periodontics in 2014. He has been practicing Periodontics since 1988. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He served as an Army Dental Officer for 30 years; retiring with the rank of Colonel. He trained in the US Army and Medical College of Georgia in Periodontics and is a graduate of the General Dentistry (AGD) Residency at Fort Riley, Kansas, as well.
Dr. Cuenin was awarded Diplomate status in Periodontics in 1993. Dr. Cuenin also teaches part-time at MUSC, (James B. Edwards School of Dental Medicine). He serves as the Clinical Director at the East Cooper Community Outreach Dental Clinic in Mount Pleasant where he works with students, residents and over 40 volunteers from the Charleston area to provide dental care to the underserved. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the International College of Dentists, the South Carolina Dental Association, the South Carolina Society of Periodontists and the Southern Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Cuenin enjoys the challenges of private practice and looks forward to his days with Dr. Sparacino. In his leisure time he and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time with family enjoying the beautiful Low Country
